Students move from knowing the rules to understanding how to play: making plans, recognizing patterns, and learning from their own games.
Learning to Play helps students turn foundational knowledge into practical chess skills. Students begin to think beyond individual moves and learn how pieces work together, how to recognize opportunities, and how to make simple plans.
Lessons combine structured instruction with puzzles, practice positions, games, and reflection. Students are encouraged to explain their thinking, review their decisions, and gradually become more independent players.
